I was inspired by my clients who are Washington's women of power to craft a look that is classic, elegant and that makes a statement. The Leading Lady exerts her influence in the boardroom by day and in the ballroom by night.

SKINCARE

For pre-makeup prep, I used a power skincare duo: 3Lab Super Cream and 3Lab Super Eye Treatment.  The non-greasy formulation gives long-lasting and intense moisture that lasts day and night and lets makeup set beautifully.

DAYTIME COLOR PALETTE

For the daytime look, I wanted a natural color palette that had enough intensity to enhance and define the eyes and lips.  For the eyes, I used neutral tones in a soft, fading gradient of color, and for lips I emphasized the natural pink hues.

NIGHTTIME COLOR ENHANCEMENTS

For intense eye drama, I smudged carbon black eyeliner and applied a cloud of slate gray all over the eyelids and into the crease, and I topped it off with outer corner mink Velour lashes. I set the lips in a neutral pink to let the eyes take center stage.

For accessorizing fun, a black leather clutch adds a touch of elegance.
